Editorial and evaluation methodology
Cam Site Radar is built to be checkable. This page explains where our facts come from, how lists are ordered, why we publish no scores, and how commercial relationships are kept apart from editorial decisions.
Last updated 19 October 2026
1. What we collect
For every platform we track the same set of facts: operator, pricing model and published prices, what is free, account and age-verification requirements, show types (public, private, group, ticketed, spy, cam2cam), interactive toys, VR and HD streams, devices and apps, payment methods, billing descriptors, refund rules, interface languages, regional restrictions, privacy and security notes, and whether an affiliate program exists.
2. Where facts come from
Each fact carries a source URL, a source type and the date it was read:
- Official source — the platform's own website, help centre, terms, or its own affiliate program's terms.
- Third-party source — an independent publication such as an encyclopedia entry, regulator notice, news report or review. These are weaker and labelled on every page.
- Editorial review — an answer recorded by the Cam Site Radar editorial team during a review of the data, without a public source link. It is labelled on every page and is weaker than an official or third-party source.
- Not listed — the editorial review found that the platform does not list or document the item; the reviewer's explanation is shown instead.
- Not verified — no source we could read confirms the fact either way, and it has not been reviewed yet.
The first data set was gathered on 19 October 2026 by an automated research pass that reads public, text-based pages only. It does not log in, create accounts, accept age gates, or get around blocks. Several platforms block automated access to their help pages, which is why some some facts rely on third-party sources. An editorial review of every remaining gap was then recorded on 19 October 2026: its answers are labelled “Editorial review” (no public link), and items it found not listed by the platform are marked “Not listed”. The page copy itself has not yet had a human review, and pages say so.
3. No scores, no testimonials
We do not publish ratings, star scores, user reviews or testimonials. A score would imply hands-on testing under a documented protocol, and that has not happened yet. When it does, the protocol will be published here before any score appears. We also never show live viewer counts, performer counts or traffic estimates, because we cannot measure them.
4. How lists are ordered
Every list page names its criteria at the top. The first is the primary criterion. Platforms with a sourced “yes” on it come first, then platforms are ordered by how many of the page's criteria they meet on sourced data, then by how many facts we could source overall, then alphabetically. This order is mechanical and reproducible. It is not a judgment of quality, and commercial status cannot change it.
5. When a page is kept out of search
A list page is only marked indexable when at least 3 platforms have a sourced “yes” for its primary criterion, and when its search intent doesn't substantially duplicate another page. Pages that don't yet meet this bar stay reachable for visitors but carry a noindex directive until the data improves.
6. Freshness and the review queue
Facts older than 180 days, facts that rely only on third-party sources, missing high-priority facts and facts with conflicting sources go into an internal review queue. Dates on pages change only when a fact is actually re-checked, never just because a page was rebuilt.
7. Commercial independence
Cam Site Radar currently has no sponsors, no paid placements and no active affiliate links. If that changes, affiliate links will be labelled and use rel="sponsored", and sponsored placements will appear in clearly marked advertising slots outside editorial lists. See the affiliate disclosure and advertising policy.
Terminology: “prepaid”
On cam sites, “prepaid” almost always means buying credits or tokens in advance (pay-as-you-go) rather than being billed at the end of the month. On Cam Site Radar, “Prepaid credits” uses that meaning. It does not mean paying with a prepaid bank card; where a platform is reported to accept prepaid cards, the fact sheet says so separately.
