Short answer
A cam-site private show moves a viewer and a performer out of the open room into a paid session, usually billed per minute at a rate the performer sets. All 15 platforms we track now have a yes for private shows, four of them from our editorial review rather than a public source; they differ mainly in whether others can watch (spy or voyeur modes) and whether billing is per minute or deducted from tokens or credits.
Platform data checked: 19 October 2026Editorial review: pending human reviewHow we evaluate
“Private show” is used loosely across cam sites, and several platforms split it into tiers with different prices and different levels of exclusivity. This page explains those formats and the billing logic behind them, then shows which platforms document each variant in their own pages, in third-party reviews or in our editorial review.
Primary: Private shows
This is the feature the page explains, so it is the first thing checked for each platform.
Spy / voyeur mode
Spy or voyeur access determines whether a private show is truly private and offers a lower-cost way to watch one.
Per-minute billing
Per-minute billing shows the price of a private session in currency before it starts, which makes the cost easier to predict.
Cam2cam
Two-way video is usually offered inside private sessions, so it is a common reason to choose one platform’s private format over another.
Platforms are listed in a mechanical order: those with a sourced 'yes' on the page's primary criterion first, then by how many of the page's criteria they meet on sourced data, then by how many facts we could source overall. It is not a quality ranking, and no commercial relationship affects it.

A standard private show lets one paying viewer take the performer out of the public room, an exclusive show keeps the session strictly one-to-one at a higher price, and a spy or voyeur mode lets other members watch someone else’s private. On some platforms a standard private is not fully exclusive: other members may be able to watch it, either by paying a lower rate or through that separate spy or voyeur mode.
The sourced data on Cams.com, Streamate, LivePrivates and Jerkmate shows this split clearly. Cams.com’s help pages describe a one-on-one Private Chat, a Nude Chat in which other members may also interact, and a ‘Voyeur View’ for watching the video of any Private Chat. Third-party reviews describe Streamate’s ‘Exclusive’ (one-to-one) and ‘Premium’ (others may watch) chats. LivePrivates’ interface lists Private, Exclusive Private, ‘Newbie Private’ and 1:1 Video Call, and Jerkmate’s official pages describe Private and Exclusive chat.
Cam-site private shows are billed in one of two ways: per minute in currency, or as time-based deductions from a prepaid token or credit balance. On per-minute platforms (Streamate, Cams.com, SkyPrivate, Jerkmate and LivePrivates on sourced data) a rate is shown before the session starts and charged for each minute it runs. On token- or credit-based platforms the cost is still time-based in practice, but it is deducted from a prepaid balance rather than shown as a currency amount.
MyFreeCams illustrates token billing for private shows: our editorial review records approximate studio-terms rates of 60 tokens per minute for Private, 20 for Voyeur and 80 for TruePrivate.
Private-show rates are generally set by each performer, so a platform rarely has a single private-show price. Third-party reviews report observed Streamate ranges of USD 3.99–8.99 per minute for Private and USD 5.99–10.99 for Exclusive, and both Streamate (third-party) and Jerkmate (official) describe discounted block sessions of 15 to 60 minutes at 5–20% off. Treat these as illustrations of how pricing is structured, not as current quotes.
Spy and voyeur modes let a viewer watch someone else’s private session without interacting, usually for less than taking the private yourself, but with no say in what happens and no guarantee the session will not end at any time. MyFreeCams, CAM4, Flirt4Free, ImLive, Cams.com and LivePrivates (which sells ‘Peeks’) document some form of it in public sources, and our editorial review records a spy option on Chaturbate, Stripchat, CamSoda, BongaCams, LiveJasmin, Streamate and Jerkmate. The same review records no spy shows on SkyPrivate or Amateur.tv.
Spy purchases can carry fewer refund protections than other show types. Third-party reviews of MyFreeCams report that token refunds are possible except for tips, group and spy shows, so the cheaper format may also be the less protected one.
Eleven platforms document private shows in a public source, and Stripchat, CamSoda, LiveJasmin and Amateur.tv have private shows recorded by our editorial review of 19 October 2026, which gives no detail on tiers or rates. On CamSoda and LiveJasmin, the review notes that private sessions are paid in tokens and credits respectively.
SkyPrivate is structurally different from the other private-show platforms: its official pages describe private calls delivered through Microsoft Teams, Discord, Telegram or its own SP Chat app rather than through a public cam room. Two-way video (cam2cam) now has a yes on all 15 platforms: Streamate, Flirt4Free, ImLive, Cams.com, SkyPrivate, Jerkmate and LivePrivates from public sources, and the other eight from our editorial review.
A private show may allow other members to watch, while an exclusive show is strictly one-to-one and usually costs more per minute. Streamate (per third-party reviews), Jerkmate and LivePrivates (per their own pages) document both tiers. The exact rules differ by platform, so check the show description before starting.
Performers set their own per-minute private-show rates on the platforms with sourced pricing details. Cams.com’s help pages state that models choose their own prices and that all prices are per minute, not per show.
Private-show refunds are possible only in limited cases, and the rules vary by platform. Cams.com’s terms say unused balances are non-refundable except as required by law, while SkyPrivate’s official policy gives a full refund for a prepaid show if the model does not respond within 24 hours. Read the platform’s refund terms before buying credit.
